It’s been another whole year writing DAPS posts and doing DAPS stuffs. I know the year isn’t over yet, but I’m guessing this list will more or less stay the same. Like all other bloggers I have a special connection with a select few posts which I’ve written. Here are my favs from this past year in an easy to read countdown form…
10. 10 Reasons To Respect Lady GaGa Posted: 11/23/2009
Hours before her impressive performance at the VMAs, I decided that I needed to inform the masses that Lady GaGa wasn’t the spectacle that she seemed to be on the surface. I did some research and learned some new information, which i passed on. I really enjoy writing posts where I actually learn something.
09. Why What You Love Sucks: The New York Yankees Posted: 09/18/2009
At a loss for what to post in my required WWYLS, Carlo pushed me to just write something. That something became my single best opportunity to “stick it to” the arrogant Yankee fans in New York. While the Yanks were in the middle of a World Series run, I knew that the post would have to be good. More important than good, the post would need to be factual. I was able to gather some of the best ammo any Mets fan like myself would ever need… take that Yankee fans.
08. The List: The Worst Songs EVAR (That make up the best Pandora station EVAR) Posted: 08/17/2009
In this post I was able to give the world something truly unique. An amazing combination of horrid songs combined to make the worst Pandora station in the history of man. Even thought it didn’t go nuts in terms of hits, i had a lot of fun putting it together.
07. Dear Hunted at Bowery Ballrom: 0 Killed, 0 Injured, Hundreds had Socks Rocked Posted: 11/03/2009

After receiving a PR email from ABC promotions, I requested press passes to check out The Dear Hunter, one of my friend, Photographer Elyse Harrell’s, favorite bands. The show was pretty cool, Elyse had the opportunity to shoot them. (Quite professionally I might add) and I got props from both the PR company and the record label for my piece.. all in all an excellent experience.
06. VILENA Photos: From Russia with Lust Posted: 04/26/2009
Sometimes i come across a trend on the net which i just NEED to share, this was one of those occasions. Hot ladies presenting themselves, asses up? the world needs to know, at least the thousands of them who came across this post on youtube.
Apparently In Russia, a brilliant woman named Vilena, who has an apparent knowledge of cat mating rituals, reached back mad evolutionary-like in order to attract a mate on social networking sites. (me-ow!)
05. Emilio Sparks Interviews Killa Cam Posted: 09/14/2009

Back in April I had the privilege of producing the interview that catapulted my friend Emilio Sparks into the hip-hop blogosphere permanently. I waited until 4 in the morning with Emilio, Tavis, Mike Shane, Ben Johnson and others but the fruit of our labor was worth it… 150,000+ views across the web and instant credibility in the rap game. I’d say WIN.
04. Dear Time/Life, Send Me Free Stuff.. It’s Only Fair Posted: 09/14/2009
After spending an afternoon annoying my friend Tavis with a shitty Time/Life promo starring Cuba Gooding Sr, I helped the video gain traction on Buzzfeed, You Tube, and BestWeekEver.tv. This was just really fun to do, and marked our 3rd and 4th appearances on the Best Week Ever blog thanks to their editor, Michelle Collins.
03. The List: TV Shows That Didn’t Deserve To Get Canceled Posted: 07/20/2009
In yet another “The List” post, I had a lot of fun comparing notes with the DAPS audience about T.V. shows which were cut down in their prime. After pretty much every show I became attached to got shitcanned in the last 5 years, I decided to vent a bit with my list.
02. Real Life Jedi Mind Tricks with Derren Brown Posted: 09/08/2009
I had the idea in my head for a long time to help spread the word about Derren Brown and his amazing tricks and when I finally got around to writing it, the post went up and promptly faded to obscurity before the StumbleUpon community gave it legs. This was by far the widest reach of anything i’ve done on DAPS since “Homosexuwhales” with 40,000+ page views and still counting. wow.
01. How Is Kevin Smith Relevant to 9/11? Posted: 09/11/2009
How do you top almost 50,000 hits on a post? Only by having one of your favorite directors of all time give you props on your work. Every once in a while I like to share something personal on the DAPS, this time i did and it struck a chord with Smith and his following. Thanks Kevin for sharing it with the world!

Stay tuned in early 2010 for a brand new Dog and Pony Show!
